Marin Headlands and Bonita Point Lighthouse

The rugged coastline of the Marin Headlands offers some amazing photo opportunities to capture raw natural beauty at its finest. A far cry from the heart of the city, get out here and add these images to your collection and people will see that San Francisco is so much more than just a busy, hectic metropolis.

The Castro District

The rainbow flags and rainbow crosswalks of San Francisco’s gay center just add that little extra color to your photographs. It’s a photogenic area during the daytime, but it comes alive at night and has a really fun vibe.

Powell Street

You mustn’t forget to visit Powell Street on your trip to San Francisco as you’ll definitely want to photograph the famous trams. Take a ride too, it’s a lot of fun!

Battery Spencer and Vista Point

When you’re up close to the Golden Gate Bridge, it can be hard to take a really good photo of it, especially if you’d like to be in the photo too. The trick is to head away from the bridge so you can get it all in one shot. Two great spots are Vista Point and Battery Spencer. The latter also has the advantage of being higher so you can get the bridge and San Francisco city all in one shot.

China Town

The vibrant atmosphere of China Town really lends itself well to photography and is so different from the other areas of the city adding variety to your San Francisco photo album.

The Financial District

Here you’re in the heart of the stunning skyscrapers. You can get some amazing photos here. Take time to look around you, point your camera upwards and you’ll get some fantastic images of the architecture, with older buildings side by side with modern constructions.
